    Fat busting chef salad recipe

    We’ve always been told to eat more fruits veggies to stay healthy and maintain or lose weight, but maybe physicians have that backwards. Fruits are great but vegetables offer better nutrition with lower sugars and fat.

    • Yield: 2 Servings
    • Total Time: 15 Minutes

    Ingredients

    • 1 large bunch butter lettuce
    • 4 large eggs, boiled
    • 4 slices Canadian bacon, organic
    • 4 slices turkey breast, roasted or smoked
    • 1 cup of halved tomatoes, grape or cherry
    • 1 cup of cucumbers, chopped or sliced
    • ½ cup of shredded or sliced cheddar, sharp, grass
    Fed
    • Italian salad dressing, low fat, bottled
    How to Make It
    1. Rinse, then dry lettuce. Chop or tear into chunks. Place on large plate or in large bowl.
    2. Quarter boiled eggs. Lay on top of salad.
    3. Slice turkey and Canadian bacon into strips. Toss on salad. Add cheddar cheese, cucumbers and tomatoes.
    4. Use Italian salad dressing to drizzle. Serve.
