    Pasta with ham and green beans recipe

    Ingredients

    • ¾ pound spaghetti
    • 2 leeks, thinly sliced
    • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
    • 6 ounces baked or deli ham, sliced and cut into strips
    • 1 cup green beans, sliced
    • Kosher salt and black pepper
    • 2 teaspoons lemon zest
    How to Make It
    1. Cook the pasta according to the package directions; drain, reserving ½ cup of the cooking water.
    2. Cook the leeks in the butter in a large skillet over medium heat until tender, 4 to 6 minutes. Add the ham, green beans, and reserved cooking water; season with ¾ teaspoon salt and ¼ teaspoon pepper. Cook until the green beans are just tender.
    3. Toss with the pasta and lemon zest.
